Elliot is a patent executive in the mechanical engineering team in the Auckland office. Elliot specialises in all aspects of patent law for mechanical and manufacturing technologies.

As part of his role, Elliot:

• conducts prior art and FTO searches
• advises on patent novelty and infringement
• files and prosecutes New Zealand and overseas patent applications.
  

Elliot's experience in mechanical and manufacturing engineering includes composite materials, acoustics, and polymer processing. Before joining A J Park, Elliot was involved with machine and manufacturing processes at Sandvik NZ Ltd. He was also awarded a scholarship through the New Zealand Army to train as an officer and study engineering.

Elliot completed his mechanical engineering degree at the University of Auckland in 2007 graduating with honors. His final year project involved the processing of polymer based nanofibrillar tissue scaffolds.

Elliot is currently studying towards becoming a registered patent attorney and a bachelor degree in Law.
