As AJ Park’s marketing communications specialist, Grace works with internal and external stakeholders to promote the AJ Park brand, as well as its value proposition, clients, staff and partnerships across multiple external channels including online, print, press, direct and social media.
With a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and management, Grace has honed her communications, event management and marketing skills in a number of exciting roles in New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom.
After graduating, Grace worked as a marketing assistant at Barfoot & Thompson, a leading New Zealand real estate business. Here she worked on corporate sponsorships and events such as the $44K Challenge and the Barfoot & Thompson Young Authors Contest. In 2011, having moved to the UK, she took on an events facilitator role for the British Heart Foundation, before working as an account manager at marketing agency Partizan International.
An exciting highlight of Grace’s career has been the opportunity to work as commercial engagement manager for the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco. The role saw her develop customer engagement programmes for the commercial and marketing arm of the America’s Cup. This included organising a range of events, beginning with the regatta opening ball attended by 700 VIP guests, and included branded experiences, sponsorship and corporate hospitality, as well as official functions and private events.
After returning to New Zealand, Grace spent two and a half years working in the innovation space in marketing and communications management roles at The Icehouse, one of New Zealand’s leading business growth hubs.
Beyond the office
Outside of work, Grace’s interests include running and keeping fit, as well as architecture and design. She and her husband recently completed a renovation of their 1930s’ Auckland home—a project that’s been a long but ultimately satisfying experience.
