At AJ Park, Thomas:

  • conducts and reports trade mark availability and clearance searches
  • advises on trade mark availability and eligibility for registration and infringement matters
  • files and prosecutes New Zealand and overseas trade mark applications
  • compiles evidence and research on trade mark use
  • prepares for and prosecutes opposition proceedings
  • records assignments, licenses and similar changes
  • gives general trade mark advice.

Clients

Thomas acts for both foreign and domestic clients across a broad industry spectrum, including cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and building.

Previous work

Prior to joining AJ Park, Thomas completed a summer clerkship working for a large Australian intellectual property law firm.

Thomas is currently studying towards his patent attorney qualifications.
