AJ Park is New Zealand’s largest internationally recognised, top tier specialist IP law firm. We consistently rank among the leading IP firms in Australasia and have been recognised several times as New Zealand’s ‘IP Specialist Law Firm of the Year’ in the New Zealand Law Awards.

We help our clients to identify, protect, commercialise, manage and enforce their IP rights in New Zealand, Australia and throughout the world. Our clients range from entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs, through to government institutions, multinationals and major listed companies. We represent many innovative and iconic companies in New Zealand and Australia, as well as over a third of the Fortune 500 companies.

The role

In Auckland, we’re looking for a solicitor with a background in IP and/or IP litigation who can integrate quickly into a busy practice.

In Wellington, we’re looking for a solicitor with a background in IP or with a desire to specialise in that area.

These roles will see you handling disputes involving all kinds of IP, including patents, trade marks, copyright, registered designs, and plant variety rights, along with related regulatory and advertising issues.

You will be client-focused, proactive, and driven. You’ll have great communication skills and the ability to think on your feet. Ideally, you will also have some experience of court and tribunal practice and procedure.

Our offer

AJ Park has a strong people-focused culture, recognised by our nomination as an employer of choice in this year’s New Zealand Law Awards. We can offer the right candidates unparalleled access to cutting-edge work in the IP space, and ample opportunities and mentoring to build their careers within a friendly and supportive team.

If you’d like to work in a firm that places a strong emphasis on work/life balance, diversity and inclusion, with excellent opportunities for career development and professional growth, then take this opportunity to join our award-winning team of IP specialists.
