Katie is a search analyst in A J Park’s Auckland life sciences team. It’s a role that involves designing and undertaking searches for clients, including patentability and freedom-to-operate searches. She works mainly with New Zealand-based clients operating in the areas of medical devices, food technology and agritech. Katie loves the learning and constant variation her work entails.

Katie joined AJ Park as a patent assistant, straight after graduating in mid-2016. She subsequently began her role as a search analyst in early 2018.
With a background in chemistry, specialising in inorganic chemistry, Katie has a BSc with Honours from the University of Auckland.
Outside of work, Katie is a passionate powerlifter who competes nationally and internationally when her schedule permits. It’s a hobby that enables her to stay physically fit and mentally sharp and to make some great friends both in New Zealand and around the world.
