An IP strategy allows you to understand, manage and capitalise on the IP in your organisation. It can also help you win more market share, secure higher prices or ensure lower costs than your competitors. A clear strategy also answers the day-to-day questions most organisations face around what to do about IP.
IP Game Plan™ is a short training programme that gives you an opportunity to talk to our experts about your business with the goal of working out a basic IP strategy.
The aim is to give you the upfront information you need to develop your strategy, while also helping build your capability in using IP as a business tool. You’ll learn skills to help you make astute decisions about how to capture, use and manage your IP to grow your business.
How is the IP Game Plan™ programme structured?
The programme is structured into four stages:
- Pre-workshop fact gathering to find out about your business and to understand how IP fits into your business
- eLearning tools and resources to communicate information about IP and why it matters.
- A two-hour workshop to understand and develop an IP roadmap.
- A written report post-workshop, summarising the outcomes and actions.
You may be eligible for 50% funding of the IP Game Plan™ programme through NZTE’s Capability Voucher Scheme. We can explain that process to you.
