In April, Louis Vuitton launched a new digital collectable NFT; a leather varsity jacket designed by Pharrell Williams, which is also available as a high-fashion garment. The luxury brand’s latest foray into the virtual realm reflects a growing trend amongst high-end designers and indeed the fashion industry globally, as brands consider more sustainable approaches to fashion.

In the first of our World Intellectual Property Day podcasts, Sarah Barclay, Eve Brown, and Rumbie Mutanga discussed whether, when it comes to fashion, sustainability goals and intellectual property are conflicting.
