AJ Park is proud to announce that two of its partners have been selected for this year’s NZ Lawyer ‘Hot List’.

The list features lawyers that are regarded as having made an outstanding contribution to the profession, or who have stood out among their peers for their achievements.

AJ Park’s chairman of partners John Hackett was named 2016 international trade mark lawyer of the year by Who’s Who Legal, and was recently quoted in the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 as having ‘a knack for anticipating the business needs of brand owners and acting to forestall problems’.  Over the past three years, John has played a lead role in helping AJ Park develop its business in Australia and the Greater China region.

Mark Hargreaves, partner and head of AJ Park’s strategy and commercial practice, was recently named one of the world’s leading intellectual property strategists in the Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Strategy 300. In the last year Mark has worked with government agencies on a number of high profile projects including the replacement of New Zealand’s core tax systems, the upgrade of its banknotes, and the referendum process to change the flag.

Managing partner Damian Broadley, said ‘I’m particularly proud of the fact that as we enter our 125th year AJ Park and its staff are maintaining exemplary performance among peers. We congratulate John and Mark for their achievements.’
