JD is a member of the Wellington trade marks team, where he assists clients in securing trade marks and related rights domestically and overseas.
Experience
JD supports clients to prepare, file, and manage trade mark applications in New Zealand, Australia and Pacific Island territories. He helps a range of clients across various industries.
Prior to working at AJ Park, JD was a trade mark examiner at IPONZ, before transitioning into private practice in early 2024. During his time at IPONZ, he assessed the registrability of national and international trade mark applications. In private practice, JD has experience with trade mark registration, prosecution and litigation.
Outside of work
Outside of work, JD is a hobby musician and audio engineer, so you will likely find him in his home studio. JD also enjoys watching the NFL, playing video games, or spending time with his partner and their dog Toby.
