As a firm that continuously celebrates the talented people who help our clients turn their ideas into assets, AJ Park is delighted to recognise four patent experts who have recently been promoted.

Sam Ting has been promoted to Senior Associate. As a member of the Patents (Chembio) team, Sam’s role is to prepare, file and prosecute patent applications in Australia, New Zealand and internationally. Sam is committed to understanding the problem-solving and abstract thinking needed to provide clients with practical advice.

Callum Judd has been promoted to Associate. Callum’s role in the Patent (Engineering and IT) team includes preparing, filing and prosecuting patent applications in Australia, New Zealand, and internationally. He is also experienced in a variety of patent searching, including patentability and freedom to operate searches, as well as considering infringement positions.

Dr Jason Busby has been promoted to Associate. Jason is a member of the Patents (Chembio) team and provides advice on patentability and freedom-to-operate, and prepares, files and prosecutes patent applications in Australia, New Zealand, and internationally. His area of expertise is in biological sciences — genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry.

Louis Habberfield-Short has been promoted to Associate. Louis’ work in the Patent (Engineering and IT) focuses on helping clients protect their innovations and avoid infringement of third party rights in industries such as construction, packaging, lighting and energy.

All four newly promoted experts are registered Patent Attorneys (Australia and New Zealand) and AJ Park is proud to employ 1 in 5 registered patent attorneys based in New Zealand.

Please join us in congratulating these talented people.
