Ashley is a patent engineer in AJ Park’s Auckland office and assists with assessing client inventions, conducting prior art searches, and preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in New Zealand, Australia, and internationally.
Experience
Ashley comes from the multi-disciplinary study of biomedical engineering, with experience spanning device development, artificial intelligence / machine learning, and medical technologies.
With experience in regulatory affairs and clinical research within New Zealand medical device start-ups, Ashley has worked with teams developing emerging technologies, ranging from implantable brain sensors to gastric motility trackers. Combined with her technical engineering background, she is well positioned to engage with electrical, software, and mechanical inventions.
Beyond work
Ashley enjoys cooking and baking for her friends and family, as well as performing across different forms, from comedy theatre to hip-hop troupes. In her spare time, she also edits videos and designs posters for other creatives.
