Best Lawyers™, the oldest and most respected guide to the legal profession, announced the 11th Edition of The Best Lawyers in New Zealand on 5 April 2019.
We're thrilled to announce that 13 AJ Park lawyers have once again been selected by their peers for
inclusion in The Best Lawyers in New Zealand 2020 in the field of intellectual property law.
AJ Park’s managing director, Damian Broadley, principals Anton Blijlevens, Anton Gibson, Colleen Cavanagh, Damon Butler, Greg West-Walker, Hadleigh Brown, Kim McLeod, Mark Hargreaves, Matt Adams, Michael Brown and Teresa Griffiths, and consultant John Hackett are featured on the list. Their combined expertise spans several areas of intellectual property including patents, software, biotechnology, trade marks, copyright and litigation.
AJ Park represents 25% of the lawyers featured on the intellectual property list—with the highest number of lawyers from any one firm in New Zealand.
Additional recognitions are also awarded to individual attorneys with the highest overall peer-feedback for a specific practice area and geographic region. Only one attorney is recognised as the ‘Lawyer of the Year’ for each specialty and location. We are pleased to report that Damian Broadley has been named the Best Lawyers 2020 ‘Lawyer of the Year’ for intellectual property law in Wellington, New Zealand.
About best lawyers
Since it was first published in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Best Lawyers lists are compiled based on an exhaustive peer-review evaluation. Almost 87,000 industry leading lawyers are eligible to vote from around the world, and Best Lawyers® received almost 10 million evaluations on the legal abilities of other lawyers based on their specific practice areas. Lawyers are not required nor allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honour. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers ‘the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.’
