Filza is a trade mark specialist who works with local and international clients from a range of industries, including food and beverage, retail and IT. She helps them protect one of the most valuable assets in their business – their brand.
Filza's role involves conducting and reporting on trade mark availability and clearance searches, advising on trade mark availability for registration and infringement matters, researching and compiling evidence on trade mark use, filing and prosecuting trade mark applications, and providing general trade mark and branding advice.

After graduating with a BSc in biochemistry and genetics from Otago University, Filza spent some time working as a scuba diving instructor on the Great Barrier Reef. She subsequently gained a law degree from the University of Liverpool and worked in the financial services sector in London while studying for entry to the Bar in England and Wales. On her return to New Zealand in 2014, Filza began working with AJ Park. In 2018, Filza joined the board of the French New Zealand Chamber of Commerce.
