Eve is a senior associate in the Wellington Trade Mark team. She advises clients on a wide range of issues concerning worldwide brand strategy and trade mark protection.

Expertise

Eve advises clients on a wide range of issues concerning worldwide brand strategy and trade mark protection. This includes pre-filing advice, clearance searching and overcoming objections before the Registry. Eve also handles contentious trade mark proceedings including oppositions, non-use cancellation actions and challenges on the grounds of invalidity. 

Experience

Prior to joining AJ Park’s Wellington office, Eve worked at a leading London law firm specialising in intellectual property for over five years. During this time, Eve gained experience working with international brands, SMEs and start-ups across a range of sectors, in particular, food and beverage, fashion and retail, automotive and finance.

During her time practicing in the UK, Eve volunteered for the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (“CITMA”), the body that supports and promotes the UK trade mark profession. Eve volunteered on CITMA’s Law and Practice Committee and CITMA’s Education, Qualification and Standards Committee. Prior to this, Eve sat on the CITMA’s council as a student representative.

Eve regularly publishes intellectual property focused articles that can be found on Lexology and Lexis Nexis. Eve also delivers seminars on trade mark law and practice.

Accolades

In October 2022, Eve was named as a ‘Rising Star’ in the 2022 Managing IP rankings. The special edition of the publication, which is produced by the IP STARS research team, recognises some of the best up-and-coming intellectual property practitioners who have contributed to the success of their firms and clients.

Beyond work

Outside of work, Eve enjoys long distance running and helping backstage in theatre productions.
