The Ministry of Economic Development is working to resolve an outage affecting a number of its websites including the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand (IPONZ) website that has been down since Saturday 24 September.
The website and its online services cannot be accessed. IPONZ was open yesterday (Monday 26 September), but has declared today (Tuesday 27 September) and tomorrow (Wednesday 29 September) NZ time as 'closed' days. IPONZ has provided extensions to filing patent, trade mark, design and PVR applications. Therefore, while we can physically file applications today and tomorrow, they will be given the filing date of Thursday 29 September 2011 when IPONZ expects to 'open'.
We will inform clients of any further updates. You can find out more at www.med.govt.nz/outage.
