When you apply for trade mark registration in Australia, you must list the goods or services that you want protection for. You can register your trade mark in as many classes as you want.

The classes used in Australia follow the international system called the Classification of Goods and Services (Nice Classification, 11th Ed). Many other countries use this system.

This information sheet sets out the 45 classes covered under the Nice international system of classification. Getting this right is very important. The strength of your trade mark registration is affected by listing too widely or narrowly.

AJ Park can help you to list your goods and services in a way that helps you to get the best value from your Australian trade mark registration.
