We’re delighted to see three of our intellectual property (IP) specialists on the rise with the promotions of Jeremy Sim to partner, Giulia Fimmano to senior associate and Ben Sullivan to associate.
Jeremy joined AJ Park in October 2007 and is a member of our mechanical engineering and IT patents team in Auckland. He has over 15 years’ experience advising clients on IP issues. Jeremy works in all areas of IP law, particularly with resolving client’s inventions toward patent and design protection, as well as assessing their infringement risks. He has expertise in chemical and process engineering technologies, including in hi-tech manufacturing, mechanical fields and medical devices. His experience also includes developing and executing large-scale international patent and design filing programmes, including portfolio management.
A member of our Sydney litigation team, Giulia is an expert in assisting clients with employing alternative dispute resolution strategies to negotiate and settle disputes as early as possible, preferably before the commencement of court proceedings. She said she is thrilled with the promotion.

Ben is a member of our Auckland trade marks team and advises on all aspects of strategic trade mark and branding matters in New Zealand and overseas. He plays a proactive role in helping clients to protect, develop and enforce their brand portfolios.
