AJ Park tops the New Zealand rankings in Managing IP’s ‘IP Stars’ for the fourth consecutive year

News  \  4 Jun 2019

On 18 May 2019, Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) released its 2019 IP Stars guide to the leading intellectual property (IP) firms and practitioners worldwide, and AJ Park is proud to top the New Zealand rankings once again.

For the fourth consecutive year, AJ Park is the only tier 1 firm for New Zealand in all four major categories: patent contentious, patent prosecution, trade mark contentious, and trade mark prosecution. We are also listed as a ‘recommended’ firm for copyright and related rights.

Alongside the firm rankings, MIP also recognises the work of outstanding individuals. Congratulations to Matt AdamsAnton BlijlevensDamian BroadleyAnton Gibson, John Hackett, Kate McHaffieKim McLeod and Greg West-Walker, who have once again made the IP Stars list of leading IP practitioners in New Zealand.

IP Stars covers over 130 jurisdictions. Research is carried out over a six-month period by MIP’s team of global researchers, who obtain information from law firms and IP agencies, and their clients, through surveys and interviews. The aspects assessed for the firm rankings include expertise, workload, market reputation/track record, outcomes achieved for clients, and unique strengths in a given practice area. MIP’s researchers scrutinise the information and conduct their own independent research before producing the firm ranking tables and list of leading IP practitioners.

Thank you to our clients and colleagues who assisted us in achieving this recognition.
