Article  \  24 Mar 2009

AJ Park client Symansis NZ Limited has won the Emerging Biotech Company of the Year award at the 2009 NZBIO Conference held in Auckland earlier this month. Judging committee chairman Doug Wilson said: “Symansis stood out because it had an advanced business case and had entered the international landscape. The company has demonstrated creativity and imagination, entering the international market with an extremely high-quality product.”

Symansis chief executive Peter Foster says “Symansis is very pleased to receive this award particularly as it raises our profile at a time when we are growing and looking for new product and market opportunities. A strong IP position is very important with respect to both our own inventions and our freedom to operate and this is where AJ Park are playing an important role in our growth.”

“We are fortunate to have had the opportunity to assist Symansis NZ Limited and this award is well deserved recognition for its innovation and successful business model.” says Shelley Rowland, AJ Park.
