Nick is an experienced intellectual property (IP) attorney in AJ Park’s Engineering and IT team, combining US IP litigation experience with a global perspective to deliver advice on patent infringement, manage large patent portfolios, and conduct IP due diligence.

Nick advises clients across the full spectrum of patent matters, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications, providing guidance on patent infringement and managing patent portfolios. He also conducts IP due diligence for investors and creators, and supports trade mark, copyright, and trade-secret matters for global clients.
With specific industry experience in building materials, mining/natural resources and nuclear energy, Nick's practice bridges both US and international IP landscapes, allowing him to deliver practical, commercially focused advice that aligns with his clients’ business objectives.
Experience
With over eight years of IP litigation experience in the US, Nick has represented clients in complex cases involving patent, trade mark, and copyright infringement, as well as trade-secret misappropriation. He is admitted as a US patent attorney with experience prosecuting patents and trade marks before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Beyond litigation and prosecution, Nick has helped US inventors and SMEs with entity formation documents, financing and equity modelling, structuring equity or asset purchase agreements, and licensing their IP.
In addition, Nick brings valuable international experience - he is a licensed solicitor in Western Australia and previously worked as a foreign legal consultant in Shanghai with a major Chinese law firm.
Beyond work
Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, hiking, and running, and loves spending time playing sports with his wife and two children.
