Raji focuses on helping clients find the best ways to protect, commercialise, enforce, and defend their intellectual property rights.

As a member of AJ Park’s trade marks team, she provides expert legal advice on the availability, use, protection, and enforcement of trade marks, copyright, and domain names. Raji’s expertise spans managing large trade mark portfolios, preparing IP budgets, navigating copyright, domain name, customs and e-commerce challenges, and advising on licensing and branding strategies.

Experience

Raji brings extensive experience to her role, having worked in various areas of law before specialising in intellectual property. After earning her law degree, she worked at the Attorney General’s Department of Sri Lanka, gaining a strong foundation in legal practice. She then moved to New Zealand to complete a Master’s in Corporate and Commercial Law at the University of Auckland.

Following her studies, Raji joined a boutique Auckland law firm, focusing on conveyancing, wills, trusts, and estates. In 2018, she transitioned to intellectual property with Baldwins, now part of AJ Park, where she quickly became a trusted advisor to clients ranging from small businesses to global corporations.

Outside of work

Outside of work, Raji enjoys exploring her creative side through singing, including weekly choir practice, and experimenting with guitar and other musical endeavours in her free time. She is also an avid reader and is passionate about fostering a positive impact in both her professional and personal life. Raji is always eager to learn, grow, and contribute to her community.
