AJ Park's new promotions: helping businesses turn ideas into assets

News  \  30 Jun 2022

AJ Park promotes four Principals, four Senior Associates and two Associates, reflecting the commitment to both client service and the development of the talent in the firm. These experts are committed to helping businesses protect their intellectual property by using intelligent action to turn ideas into assets.

“We are committed to recognising the expertise and leadership of our people so they can continue to drive value for the firm’s clients”, says Dr Andrea Dickens, AJ Park’s Managing Director.

“We have a strengthened litigation leadership team with two Principal promotions, Natalie Harre based in Auckland and Thomas Huthwaite in Wellington. We are also pleased to recognise two leaders in our patent teams who have been promoted to Principal, Dr Hannah French in Chembio and Matthieu Mouscardes in Engineering and IT”, adds Dickens.

Dr Hannah French has been with AJ Park since 2012 and is a critical member of the Chembio Patents team. She has strong subject matter expertise in molecular and cellular biology, immunology and biochemistry, and proven leadership on complex, multifaceted projects.

Natalie Harre has 15 years’ experience in the legal profession and specialises in intellectual property litigation and dispute resolution. She takes a lead role in client management and is a role model for client-centric service.

Thomas Huthwaite is a well-respected litigator and dispute resolution problem solver. He has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities and is central to the litigation practice group’s success since joining in 2020.

Matthieu Mouscardes is a key member of the Engineering and IT Patents practice group, working on matters across the firms’ key clients. Matthieu is a strong performer and people leader.

In addition, AJ Park has promoted four people to Senior Associate and two people to Associate. These promotions will join the four Associate promotions from earlier in the year.

All the promotions above are effective 1 July 2022.

In addition, four assistants have stepped up into paralegal roles in the trade mark practice group recently - Molly Groube, Kenn Hew, Andrea Williams and Tash Newberry. We also have two internal Executive appointments in the Trade marks team - Kylie Jenner and Angela Kim.

These promotions augment AJ Park’s leadership position as one of the top specialist IP firms in the Australasian market.
