Kylie combines her dedication to client service with a background in finance, IT and project administration, as she works to help clients manage their trade mark portfolios and budgets.
As a paralegal for AJ Park’s Auckland trade mark team, Kylie files and registers local and international trade mark applications, assists with worldwide filing programmes, and manages clients’ trade mark portfolios and budgets.
Kylie began her career at AJ Park in mid-2007 as a trade mark assistant. She applied for the position while on parental leave and studying for the NZLS Legal Executive Diploma, which she gained in 2014. With a lifelong interest in the field of law, she was intrigued about working in intellectual property—and after a few months in the role, Kylie was hooked. Kylie subsequently became a key member of the firm’s information systems team, and in 2018 moved back into trade marks.
Prior to joining AJ Park, Kylie worked in finance and information technology for large multinational organisations in various roles, including project administration, procurement, and lease management. She is proud of having taken her core skill set and applied it to a number of different industries.
Keen to continue learning and upskilling herself, Kylie recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property.
Kylie has a talent for building trusted relationships with all of her clients, and loves helping them achieve their specific goals. She’s known for her dedication and willingness to go the extra mile for both her clients and colleagues, and believes in doing her utmost to deliver on promises.
One of the things that sets AJ Park apart is a company culture where the staff genuinely care about their clients, and do all they can to help their clients achieve their goals. My days are always challenging, and no day is the same as the next, but it’s fun to work with such great people.
