AJ Park is delighted to have been named New Zealand Patent Firm of the Year at this year’s Asia IP Awards. This follows the firm being named New Zealand IP Firm of the Year at last month’s Global IP Awards and at the Managing IP Asia-Pacific Awards in July.

The patent attorneys at AJ Park have extensive technical expertise which enables us to understand and protect any type of creation. To receive recognition such as this is a fantastic testament to that expertise, and the team’s commitment to our client service offering,

said Dr Duncan de Geest, Practice Group Leader for the firm’s Chembio patent practice.

Michael Brown, Practice Group Leader for the firm’s Engineering and ICT patent team, commented

we are proud to work for so many innovative clients across an array of industries, who continually provide us with challenging and interesting work. We are grateful to those clients for choosing as us their trusted advisors for the protection of their IP, without which this type of recognition wouldn’t be possible.

About the Asia IP Awards

The Asia IP Awards honour the very best law firms from around the region for demonstrating the very highest standards in trademark, patent and copyright work over the last year.

Judges select a shortlist for each category in each jurisdiction, following which the shortlist is sent to thousands of corporate counsel worldwide, who are all active in protecting their intellectual assets in Asia, to rank the shortlist. Winners are determined based on those votes.
